I'm Winter.
Season = Winter
You're Most Like The Season Winter ...

You're often depicted as the cold, distant season.
But you're incredibly intelligent, mature and
Independant. You have an air of power around
you - and that can sometimes scare people off.
You're complex, and get hurt easily - so you
rarely let people in if you can help it. You
can be somewhat of a loner, but just as easily
you could be the leader of many. You Tend to be
negative, and hard to relate to, but you give
off a relaxed image despite being insecure -
and secretly many people long to be like you,
not knowing how deep the Winter season really
is.

Well done... You're the most inspirational of
seasons :)

Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence
Mood:  a-ok
Just read it. Except not so much. Actually, I read it on tape when I was driving in my car. It was a good read, but I don't think I'd recommend it except to people who read a lot.

It wasn't bad, it was good. spoilers But it didn't have a lot of plot twists. It had two very realistic relationships that didn't break up or have tragic circumstances, they just slowly fell apart by life, so in that way it was more realistic than so many other books, which is why it has probably lasted this long.

I've been on Atkins for 3 days so far, it's going pretty good, I think. I'm having cravings for apple juice, which is weird, because I never craved it before.

I fell down a flight of wooden stairs and now have super attractive bruises all over my arms and back. I look like I've been battered. Woo Hoo.

I was home on Sunday and my Mom and me watched Bowling for Colombine, I son't agree with everything he says but I thought it was really interesting, especially the bit about the American media.

No! Not my Brucie!
Mood:  incredulous
No! Some idiot drunk driver hit Bruce Campbell

Luckily he's ok. If he dies before he makes Army of Darkness II I'm gonna be pissed.

I'm an artistic genius...the delivery guy said so. And so does my Mom
Mood:  happy
I ordered a sub for lunch and when the delivery guy came he saw my paintings on the wall. He asked who did them and when I said they were mine he was so nice. He asked if I was a real artist and I said no, just a wannabe. He said he wasn't an artist, but he really liked art and knew good art when he saw it.

I actually blushed. That's the nicest thing anyone said to me for days. He was kind've cute too. Edgy without crossing the line into grungy, and a really nice smile.

Hmmm....I'm suddenly hungry for a sub.

Dirrty Clothes (It's About Time for My Arrival)
Mood:  lazy
I've been imagining what I'll do when I have a proper job with a decent paycheck after I graduate. 1st of all I'll have a lovely full size bed with black wrought iron headboard and a down comforter with a deep mattress. I'll burn my futon and never wake up with my back twisted to crap again.

But I think I'll keep going to the laundry mat no matter how much $$ I get. I don't know why I like it. It's relaxing somehow. No matter what is going on you have to slow down and relax until your clothes are done. You just study, sketch, read, or watch TV.

And even though the only people I've met that are interested in me there are too old and/or strange for me, there's the possibility that I could meet someone interesting. And we could tell our grandkids funny little antedotes about how he put his red sock in with his whites and turned everything pink and I helped him out, and tha's when he knew, just knew that I was the one.

Domestic Assault
Mood:  lazy
I can't believe what I did this morning....

My alarm must have been going off for a long time because Amy came in and started to shake me awake and I hit her in my sleep. I battered my roomate. Luckily she just laughed.

I had a fun weekend - My life hasn't been up to my standards lately with the apartment/crappy landlord/job I hate/sleeping on a futon/ lots of friends gone for the summer/ bad hours, etc. A fun weekend was just what I needed. Jake came to visit this weekend and Friday night I hung out with him, Colleen, Eric & Rachael, Chad & Jill, and Bill Druliner, who I haven't seen since he graduated a paleolithic age ago.

Then Saturday I had lunch at Brueggers with Jake and hung out with him before I had to work, and last night was Leena's 22cd b-day and we had a night on the town. Even though I worked all 3 days it didn't taint the fun.

And now it's my day off and my most pressing concern is whether to waste time on the internet or do my laundry.

Freudian Slip
Mood:  chillin'
Saturday night me, Amy, Tim, Dan and some of Dan's friends went to this bar '324' that plays good live music (really the only place in La Crosse besides 'The Popcorn Tavern')

It was metal night and we caught the bands 'Circle of Signs' and 'Jack Rabbit Slims' Jack Rabbit Slims in a reference to 'Pulp Fiction', it's the restaurant Vince takes Mia to. The in-joke was wittier and better than any of their songs. Kind've like the band 'The Atari's.'

For fun Tim and Amy bought some cigars, and even though we don't smoke, me and Amy were sitting on the pool table and I was puffing away pretending like I was hot shit. I'm such a nerd that I went to the bathroom so I could look in the mirror to see how cool I looked like with a stogie.

Sunday was a thrilling combination of work, nap, laundry, and the library. I checked out Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf because I watched 'The Hours'

Pirates of the Carribean
Just saw it. I am such a big kid - I love movies like this. Great action, good fun, and Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are pretty easy on the eyes.

Johnny Depp gave an awesome performance, and the award for Most Flaming Pirate Ever. He should be proud, considering most wear tights and jewelry.

I think he should meet Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire
